SonTek, in partnership with Smartec Scientific, recently held an advanced two-day RiverSurveyor M9 training class conducted at the Taiwan Typhoon and Flood Research Institute in Taichung in Central Taiwan. Application Engineer Lee Pimble and Mark Tepper of the AP Surface Water Team led discussions on how to improve measurement methods, especially during flood events driven by typhoons. Taiwan is mountainous, often floods suddenly appear and are destructive.
