SonTek, in partnership with the St. Johns River Water Management District (SJRWMD), offered a one-day workshop on Monday, Sept. 21, focusing on flow measurement and data collection "best practices" as it relates to river, stream and canal operations.

Application Engineers, Janice Landsfeld and Kevin Labbe held both a classroom discussion at SJWMD's office and field demonstration at nearby Rodman Dam, focusing on the latest in acoustic Doppler instrumentation and techniques.

Guest presenters representing SJWMD included Casey Fitzgerald, Mitch Wainwright and Ed Carter. You can learn more about their "Silver River Sonar" project here.

For folks who have additional questions regarding field application or new instrumentation, contact Scott Kindelberger ([email protected]) or Eric Robinson ([email protected]) who are both located in Florida and are happy to offer local support!

And special thanks to John Sloat and Diana Krupa of WaterCube for stopping by and sharing some information regarding the data processing services they provide.
