SonTek, in partnership with the Orange County Water District, held a one-day workshop on Wednesday, February 10, 2016, focusing on flow measurement and data collection "best practices" as it relates to river, stream and canal operations.
Application Engineers, Diego Davis, Xue Fan and Muthiah Radhakrishnan held hold both a classroom discussion and field demonstration on the latest in acoustic Doppler instrumentation and techniques. They also offered participants a firsthand preview of SonTek’s latest instrument – the FlowTracker2 handheld ADV.
Attendees represented local agencies and private firm to include OCWD, the University of California, R.E. Filtration Plant, Carollo Engineers, Ventura County Watershed Protection District, Scheevel Engineering, Leed Electric, Thomas Harder & Co, California State University, Utility Systems Science & Software and the Council for Watershed Health.
