The training was run by the NASH (North American Stream Hydrographers) and the workshop/training was headed up by Jeff Woodward (environment Canada) and Frank Van der Have (Hoskin Scientific).
The purpose of the workshop included:
• The standardization of under ice flow measurement techniques and procedures using ADCPs
• Introduce "best practices" and gain end-user feedback.
• Review Environment Canada’s new procedure for measuring flow under ice with acoustics
• And introduce Environment Canada’s standardized under ice rod.
